Barrister Abdur Rasul -(1872-1917) A nationalist, leader of Indian National Congress and lawyer. In 1899 he got enrolled at Calcutta High Court. Abdur Rasul opposed the partition of Bengal in 1905 and with Abdul Majid and Khawaja Atikullah joined the anti-partition movement.

He got involved with publishing of Weekly Mussalman in 1906. He got elected to Bengal Legislative Council from Muslim Constituency of Chittagong and in 1917 Abdur Rasul was elected as the secretary of the Bengal Presidency Muslim League.
