Baba Saleh entitled Malik al-Muazzam, Baba Saleh was a high official under Bengal sultans from jalaluddin fath shah to Alauddin husain shah. He was a person of piety and influence and built two mosques in Sonargaon: bandar shahi mosque (886 AH/1481 AD) at Bandar proper and Baba Saleh Mosque (911 AH/1505 AD) at Salehnagar. He died in 1506 AD and lies buried in a tomb at Salehnagar. [Muazzam Hussain Khan]
