Madhab Roy also known as Madhu Roy, was the zamindar of Khalasi pargana, situated to the west of Chand Pratap pargana in Manikganj district. It is not known when he gained control of the pargana but his name is mentioned in baharistan-i-ghaibi as an ally of musa khan against the Mughals. He was one of the three zamindars who wrested the jaigir of Chatmohar from Ihtimam Khan, a naval general of islam khan. Madhab Roy is also remembered as one of the three commanders assigned with the responsibility of defending the Jatrapur Fort against the advancing Mughal army under Islam Khan. [Shahnaj Husne Jahan]
