Shamsuddin Ahmad Shah (1433-1435) sultan of Bengal. Son and successor of Sultan jalaluddin muhammad shah, Shamsuddin Ahmad Shah ascended the throne in 836 AH/1433 AD, at the age of 14. Evil counsel led him astray and he soon indulged in crimes and follies. His reign was short and troublesome. His two powerful and influential slaves, Sadi Khan and Nasir Khan, conspired against him and killed him in 839 AH/1435 AD. After his death Nasir Khan usurped the throne of Bengal. [MA Taher] |
