Shibganj Upazila (bogra district) with an area of 314 sq km, is bounded by gobindaganj upazila on the north, bogra sadar, kahaloo and dupchanchia upazilas on the south, sonatola and gabtali upazilas on the east, kalai and khetlal upazilas on the west. Main rivers are karatoya, nagar, Gangni and Gajaria; depressions: 44, most noted of which are Shabdal Dighi, Dighar Beel, Vatimarcha Beel.

Shibganj (Town) consists of one mouza. The area of the town is 0.72 sq km. It has a population of 2514; male 52.63%, female 47.37%. Literacy rate among the town people is 63.2%. The town has one rest house.

Administration Shibganj upazila consists of 12 union parishads, 241 mouzas and 436 villages.
